On Wednesday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to noon, the DigiShape AI working group is hosting an online technical session with Thomas Stolp from HKV lijn in water.
In this technical session, we explore the application of spatio-temporal Machine Learning models for short term forecasting of bed levels in the Waal river. Such forecast can be used as monitoring of shallow areas that may require dredging. We discuss the challenges that we encountered when applying such models for this use case.
