Borehole descriptions are detailed descriptions of the layer structure in the subsurface. This data is often not available in a structured form.
In the context of DigiShape, a tool has been developed that should provide automatic data extraction. The tool uses a combination of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and optical character recognition technologies. This will make it possible to automatically convert the information from the PDF files into shareable, structured data.
